2024 St. Andrew's Ball Guests of Honour
Mr. Colin Mochrie and Ms. Debra McGrath Colin Mochrie is an alumnus of Toronto's famous Second City comedy troupe. After fourteen years as a regular on the British and American versions of the improvisation series Whose Line Is It Anyway?, Colin is now in the ninth season of the CW network reboot. Colin was also a cast member of CBC’s This Hour Has 22 Minutes from 2001 to 2003. Currently he is part of a very successful tour with “Whose Line” castmate Brad Sherwood, performing a live improv show across North America , in addition to Hyprov, an innovative blend of improv and hypnosis.
Debra McGrath has worked extensively in television, film and theatre and has had a rewarding career in animation voicing and voice commercials, being the voice of Winners for several years. Her recent credits have included the recent Kids in the Hall reboot, Murdoch Mysteries, Homeschooled, Carter, Love Hacks and Dead Mom. Deb has starred in many series, from Mayor Ann Popowitz for six seasons on Little Mosque on the Prairie to Spenny’s mom in Single White Spenny. Deb’s short film Junior’s Giant has been playing in festivals across North America, winning awards and garnering her a Best Screenplay nomination from the Writer’s Guild of Canada. |
